See, for everyone who isn't in AP Art Studio, There is a major assignment worth a lot of points called a concentration. The point of the concentration is for the artist to study one view, completely, and work with the idea and work on representing the idea visually.
Well, after a lengthy talk, I've decided to work around a very dark subject-suicide and depression. Depression can be described as the common cold of mental illnesses. It's a state of neurosis most everyone in the world has expirenced and dealt with or has known someone to deal with this.
I'm super stoked about this.
On one condition, If I start to fall into the pits of depression, the project will be ripped from my hands by my art teacher. She told me that she doesn't want me going there at all, and working with this is dangerous and risky, but will be a huge pay-off if I complete it.
Currently I'm working on a triptych of my last submission (blood-powered bicycle). It's been a lengthy under going as the papers are 20X50 at least.
I do need your help though.
If you have any suggestions about possible pieces to symbolize or show depression or have any stories you would like to share about depression I would be very very very grateful!
